Juan Molas Marcelles
TOURISM & HOSPITALITY SECTOR
Born in Barcelona in 1952, he studied Tourism Marketing and Hotel Management. After a professional training process, he directed the Hotel Reina Elisenda on the Costa Brava, this being his first position as director when he was only 22 years old. Since then, his career has been a success, becoming commercial director of Unión Hoteles Independientes from 1975 to 1986 and, later, CEO of H10 Hotels from 1987 to 2004.
In addition, he has been president of relevant projects in the hospitality and tourism field. In 2007 he made his debut as president of CEHAT (Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation) until 2019. In turn, he was president of the ITH (Hotel Technology Institute) from 2008 to 2020, president of CONFECAT (Catalan Confederation of Hospitality) from 2002 to 2018 and member of the CEOE Board of Directors, from 2011 to 2019. On the other hand, he is president of the Tourism Board since 2020 and president of Copernicus Hospitality.
