Joaquín Janer Forest is an experienced professional in the hotel sector with more than 40 years of experience as General Manager in leading international chains. Throughout his career he has led business expansion and recovery projects, standing out for his strategic capacity and global vision.
He currently holds the position of Deputy Chairman of BlueBay Hotels & Resorts, where he maintains relationships with senior industry executives and government authorities. Previously, as General Manager of the same chain, he drove its growth from 12 to 55 properties in key destinations such as Spain, Mexico, Cuba and the Middle East. His experience includes management at Princess Hotels & Resorts, Golf Hotels and Beach Hotels, where he implemented innovative operational strategies and won awards for excellence in quality and service.
Trained at the Escuela Superior de Hotelería y Turismo in Madrid, he holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Management. His distinctions include the Silver Medal for Spanish Tourism Merit and the First National Gastronomy Award. He is also Vice-President of the International Hotel Directors Circle (CIDH) and has held honorary posts as Consul of Sweden.
